Growing is a natural process of life and is one of the many things that make life exciting. If you stop growing or don’t take any active measures towards personal growth, you will stagnate, and new experience will come from it. Change can be of any rate that is relevant to you and one which you feel comfortable at. However, slow growth has had a few misconceptions, which the blog will aim to make clear.

Slow growth is just an excuse to be lazy

"Slow Growth is just an excuse to be lazy"

Growth being slow is no way near an excuse for being lazy. Development requires your grit, strength and stamina and, more importantly, patience. You would not see results in a short period, but to even know any progression, you will need to be patient and consistently be able to work on the subjects or goals you want to achieve or make yourself better in. Being slow on your growth does not mean you are lazy; any form of progression still is progression at the end of the day. The rule to this is that no falling out of the habit of your small goals, which you are consistently keeping up; otherwise, you may not be able to achieve your desired grades, or it would be even harder to achieve them if you fall off track. This links with how you should value your work to be more result-driven rather than loving it on how much time you spent.

It may always feel like you're progressing

Progress and self-growth should not be a basis for which you should feel how accomplished you have become. The results of your consistent efforts may not always be tangible and visible to you, and you shouldn’t feel down about it. What you may think is a long term review of the work you may be seeing may not be as long term as you think, and in the grand scheme of things would still be only short term. Instead of that perspective, you should change to trusting the process instead. Understand what you are doing will work, and you will get the desired results you are working so hard on. You may not see the visible progress while you’re still in the process. Since slow growth takes its time, you may face many more hurdles along the way, which may hinder your progression; what matters here is how you respond to those obstacles and continue being consistent even when faced with adversity.

Slow Growth is inferior to fast growth

There is no such thing as fast growth. As mentioned before, the rate of change is relative to individuals and how much effort and time they invest in their goals. Any type of growth is slow only because the development results will take time to achieve. Therefore, the plans you set are personal to you; therefore, comparing one’s progress with another will only give different responses. How long it takes for you to achieve your goal will be different for another person only because you are other people. Comparing your growth will only give you adverse effects on your psychology and even hinder your future progress. Nothing positive will come from reaching, and there is no point in comparing yourself with anyone else apart from your past self.

It is not a movement. It is a mindset.

Now even with that, you may be struggling in looking for the crucial things you need at the time. This will be a learning moment. Acknowledge where you look at the first time when you are trying to find it. Write it down even if you have to since it works for you. Once you have found it, the next important thing you need to do it put it at the place you have written down where it should be. Making sure you put them right after you have used them will guarantee that it will take less time for you to find things and more time fo the work you need to do.
