Diversity In Medical Academia
Diversity In Medical Academia (DIMA) is a student led endeavour that encourages minority groups to engage more in medical/medical based academia and research. We are passionate about widening participation and diversity in the academic field of medicine.
To encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds in particular and educate and increase the awareness of research. We hope to inspire students and equip them with the skills needed to succeed in the scientific field.
Meet the Team
Adan Khan
Co-Founder
Hi, my name is Adan Khan and I’m a first year Medical student at Kent Medical School. We created DIMA to raise awareness on how to conduct research as well as the different ways someone can do research especially for those who are underprivileged.
Fun Fact: I like to code and design things where ever possible.
Lauren Pereira-Greene
